Interview with Arno
Time to get to know a bit more about Arno. You've seen the work, let's hear a little something about the person.Give us a short introduction about you.
I'm Arno Drost born on some sunny day in the year 1981. Raised in the beautiful country of the Netherlands running around on wooden shoes between hookers and drug dealers while working in a windmill on the country side. I love tulips!
For those of you that think the above is true, sorry to kill your fantasies about the Netherlands... although hookers in the netherlands have their own IRS number these days, marihuana can be bought...well just around my corner... and tulips are still our main product of export (besides cheese)... Life in the Netherlands isnt much different from the rest of the world.... a bit boring actually... So I try to make the best of it
Where did you grow up? Tell us a little story about the young you.
I was a bit smaller and 50 pounds lighter, the rest basically remaind the same. I did however had more girlfriends when I was young... I guess I lost that gift. Around the age of 5 I started collecting stuff from the ground.. like stones and decided that I wanted to be a someone that digs years to eventually find some thousand year old corps from an ancient civilization. That kinda changed when I got my first 2-86 PC with the magnificant bluescreen Wordperfect... not much later I discovered the world of prince of persia and... well there you go... computers it was.
What aspect of yourself really stands out? Any peculiar habits or odd fascinations?
The ability to survive. According to my friends I should have died years ago... it started around the time I got my drivers license. I guess you should ask Martin for more juicy details.
What is that common every day thing that can really make your day?
get a good night sleep...
What makes your job so much fun?
Work on this great community and see that we were able to connect around 30,000 artists around the world.
